I can't tell you how many times I have ran across self proclaimed christians that will follow up the proclamation with a statement like I don't like to talk about religion, or how do you really know who's Bible is correct? Then will start criticising the cchurch as you begin to talk to them. My opinion on that take is twofold onethey are mental christians they are simply afraid to admit they don't believe in God, just in case. Instead of faith that comes from the heart, they try to reason in their minds and that doesn't work Look at Jer.29:11-13. But I have to admit I would rather speak to an open atheist because at least they will look at reasonto a certain extent The problem we have with teaching is most forms of evangelism focus on changing the hearers mind not their heart. I know I called myself a christian for many years and never opened my Bibleand I will garauntee I'm not the only one like that. I hear evangelists focus on numbers(200people gave their lives to the Lord) What you don't hear is that 198 of them walked away and had no idea what they had supposedly doneand 3 others turned 16 other people away from even considering giving their life to the Lord, so you end up with a negative outreach. When we seek Jesus with our hearts then and only then do we find Him and understand His word then we can claim the promise of Jerimiah. Our teaching needs to focus on the caring heart, not the logical mind and the message must be shared with love then and only then will we see a revival that will draw true believers which are willing to learn the truthand only through love can that truth be taught
    Be blessed

    "Determine to be obedient"

I like that! That requires faith and trust - Isn't it wonderful how all these things worked together and work well in doing just that!

    God Bless

Amen. Reminds me of 2 Timothy:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth. Bro Larry
