Here's another tip - try being obedient to that little voice in the back of your head shouting "NO BARB! Latte is not needed today" or "Why rent a movie when you can all play a board game around the table?".
I do believe that the Holy Spirit has been gentle guiding you, you just need to realise that it's not your own thoughts, but the Holy Spirit at work. Being obedient to God is much easier than trying to listen to your own thoughts as you play tennis with ideas and reasons why a latte is needed or why you just have to rent that movie.
Be strong, be determined and be obedient.
