The thought that I glean from this hymn is that we are completely enveloped in Christ's love. We are sustained by it. We are protected by it. We are guided by it. We are nurtured by it. Everything for the world is uncertain, but God's unchanging love for us, His people is more constant than the fixed place where I must with Him for all eternity.
