God spoke to Peter about his prejudice. Cornelius was a Gentile, and worse, a centurion! I understand this attitude. I've heard the phrase that "The Man is Putting Me Down!" often enough. The truth is that Cornelius was ordained by God, before he even became a Christian, to the post as a centurion that he held. He was part of the Sword that the rulers of the day held in their hand, and like soldiers, police officers, and maybe others of this day, his job was to put the people down from time to time, for the good of all!

And this is what was begining to ping off my mind upon reading in Daniel about food and acceptance. I think it is important that Daniel did not demand anything, but asked in faith and God delivered it to him, precisely because of that faith and how he was using it.

    Be Blessed,

    Mel
