What does the Scripture say about this, sister? Let's see:

"Therefore [we are] always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." 2Cor. 5:6-8

From these verses, taken in context, it seems safe to say that for a believer to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, in his spirit, that is. We see in
1 Corinthians 15 a discussion of the resurrection and the kind of body we will possess at the time of the resurrection.

When will our judgment be? Sometime after our transformation (obviously). It seems to me that it is only important to know that what we do in our present bodies will be judged at some time in the future, after we have completed our course here on earth.

"Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him."
    2Co 5:9)

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad."
    2Co 5:10)

Whatever the Bibles tells us about our questions is sufficient for us to know. If the Bible is silent, then we really don't need to know. I hope I have helped.

My old pastor said that since God exists outside of time, He invented time when He made the planets revolve, that it could all happen at once. It could be both instant and later too.

And yes, I'm ready right now!
