Hi Holly! I am so excited to see someone else from APU on here. This is my sophmore year at APU. Anyway, I wanted to say that one of the most wonderful things about God is that you don't have to be a Biblical scholar to understand His Word. Of course we should be dedicated to a correct interpretation of that word but we should not dismiss the Holy Spirit speaking to us through scripture just because the orginal authors didn't mean it that way. That is why the Bible is the LIVING word of God.
