I would say:
Read 1 Samuel 8, the whole chapter. Pay particular attention to verses 11-18.
Then in that context, read the scripture that is often pointed the other way:
Matthew 22:19-21
Now ask: What is God's? What is Caesar's?
A few people who have government as the best mother for us all have forgotten completely about our Heavenly Father. They make themselves out to be the true gods. They are wrong!
Ephesians 6:12 says:
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Hi Mel,
I continue to be impressed with the positive, peaceful force of the "Tea Parties".. I am all for them!..In my opinion the "Auto Workers" should be doing the same thing. I feel that "our President" dirtied the "Auto Workers" and kept coming to Michigan to get their vote and when he got their votes he dumped on them!!!. That's my Opinion!..Thank you very much for your wonderful comment.
