Mel, I trust only my God, & my Saviour, but I must live with others & in some of them I trust what they say to me as truth. Some people do not tell all the truth, some only tell that which can hurt others, some rarely tell the truth,& I know a person who if they said it was raining, I would have to look out the window & check!!
The "Media" most newspapers & tv stations make it up as they go along, never let the truth get in the way of a good story, they print & challenge you to litigate, as they realise you cannot afford the cost.
CNN I trust little, the BBC a totally open public company not paid by advertisers but by public monies, is among the most biased I have seen. All reporting on the current middle east is from the angle of the Hezbollah even in members of this terrorist organisation being interviewed. Never or rarely about the missiles being poured on Israel as I write this. People who report famines say that they are not allowed to feed starving people, where is the humanity in that, they are reporting with full bellies with a camer & sound crew, all for the sake of awe & wonder.
So being from a Royal Navy background & have visited a lot of places around the world, I have seen first hand what despotic rulers can do to a country, maybe I have an opinion which is to the right of centre, but this does not negate that opinion.
I saw the newsreels of the people being released from Belson & other death camps, therefore in my mind there is no doubt that the holicaust happened as recorded in the annuls of history.
The twin towers are another matter, you can get a scientist to say what you want if you pay them enough money, if that is what he wants. Expert witnesses are being found out for what they are in some cases. Greedy people.
I read with interest an article where two Americans said that such & such would harm children. "Headlines" It has been found out that these same two men are being paid by a rival company to rubbish the findings of the manufacturers of the product. Enough said.
As the Holy Spirit takes over & teaches all ways, we must remember that at anytime we can override that instruction. We can grieve the Holy Spirit, that is the nature of the way. We have our own mind, God loves us so much he lets us do what we want! It is called Self Will. In some cases destructive, but in all cases forgivable, by that same loving God.
That is what we believe, that is where we put our trust, in the forgiving grace of God, through the works of Christ Jesus on that awesome cross at calvary.
