6Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
And everytime I read this, I know that when my requests are specific, it is because the need and desire and/or concern is great on my part. I don't think Paul missed this in us when he was speaking here. He was encouraging those who indeed needed it because concerns were rising.
Just my thoughts on weakness and the strength of God's Grace...
