That could cover a multitude of things. Sexual/sensual addictions, (pornography being prime amoung them) Gambling, Co-dependancy, Compulsive Escapism, etc.
I hope and pray that what you will share here will be broad enough to be useful for all and specific enough at times to provide practical guidance. What are your qualifications, might I ask?

Many people within the "CHURCH" face lot of issues that are often are hidden from or ignored by the Church itself. I have a brother who is addicted to narcotic pain killers, and I was curious if you knew whether of not this is a recognized or large problem. I didnt know that someone could get addicted to pain meds. My brother told me that the double danger of such is like idolatry because he puts it above God in alot of ways in his search of the drugs, his "need" for it? any comments?

okay my question is how does a wife handle these kind of things . with me wjen i found out it broke my heart and he keeps pushin forward without any remooarse that i can see. says he does care if i know HELP
