Thank you Sharon....I need to read this over and over again and to always heed it. You see...on Saturday night I accidently switched the freezer off and did not discover that until Sunday afternoon! No need to say everything in freezer was ruined. So of course I freted and worried then hid all the rolling pins and knifes and saucepans before Marlene would come home from her mothers as I had phoned and told her what I had done. I thought some physical damage might be done on me so I was taking precautions. Anyway I did not get the abuse or scolding I deserved...had worried needlessly and there was no use freting over food that was now gone in the bin. At least there were no lives lost and food can be replaced and a marriage is still on solid ground. I thank you once again for posting. God bless my friend.

My dear friend, I'm glad this post was helpful to you. Even in your more serious moments you are sooo funny! Poor Marlene--what a picture you paint of what kind of "loving" wife she is! I hope you make this up to her somehow. She's lived with you over 30 years now? All I can say is, it must be love! And as you say, no lives were lost, food can be replaced, and your marriage is still on solid ground...Take care, and watch what you switch on and off! :_)

Hi Sharon....I shall be replacing all the food lost of course and yes it is love and we have been together over 30 years. I shall be more careful in future. Setting a saucepan of water with eggs in it to boil into the microwave is not a good idea though. Oh well...take care my friend. God bless.

Colin, You're right about the saucepan with water and eggs in the microwave is not a good idea! You'd think you would have learned SOMETHING from Marlene after all these years! But that's what life is: a learning experience, eh? :-)
