Hi Sharon,
Just finished baking my Christmas Cake for a "Desert contest" tonight. Our family is always doing something interesting at Christmas. We all need to be together after losing Stanley.
I do need a rest, so I read your beautiful Christmas poem. I felt the Spirit of God as I read it. That glorious Light sent from God into all the world, to brighten up our days. O Glorious Light!

Dear Brenda,
Even though there is a sense of sadness, I'm glad you'll all be together during this time. Your family dessert contest sounds like fun as well as yummy! Ashley (my delightful precious 5-year old granddaughter) stays awake Christmas Eve until her Mommy and Daddy get home from work at midnight, then we open our gifts. I usually have tooth-picks keeping my eyes open! lol.
Be blessed as we celebrate together in Spirit the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus.

I guess Ashley is getting excited now.All children do.
Yes we will probably gain five pounds, just tasting each desert tonight. (LOL)
We were very blessed this year. My sister and sister in law is doing all the cooking for everyone except the deserts. Next year will be my brother and my turn to do things the way we choose for the gathering. Got to come up with something interesting.
