That sounds like a great analogy for your youth group.

Thanks for your comments ladies. Things have been a struggle lately but hanging out with kids is still the highlight of the week. I don't know why God uses me there but in my weakness He is glorified.

Hey Jon,
I think you need to re-evaluate 'games'. Although one up video games do not do anything edifying as I see it, games you play with someone is an entirely different story. Chess, Dominoes, Uno -- games like this invite the casual kibitzing conversations that some people don't even have over the dinner table. My eight year old is getting interested in backgammon. I encourage this, instead of TV or games that are just you against the computer or what not. Maybe I am just not seeing this quite right, but I think we have too little of people playing games with their children...

Mel, if you hang out with the kids that I hang out with there si only one kind of game - video. Although we have gotten them into others too. The old fahioned stuff is a different category.
