I agree, if our mind stays on the things of this world, we do tend to get boggled down. I have learned the best way to have peace of mind is to keep my mind on God. Automatically everything seems to go better. Here are some verses I try to live by.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26: 3
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12: 2
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.11Timothy :1;7
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. Titus 1; 15
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Philippians 2: 5
