Hi Marsha...nice post. I wrote a poem once for mothers day entitled..I CAN ONLY IMAGINE...about how Mary might have felt about her boy Jesus. Must post it for you,

And I, as well...
There are some subtle little twists in this story. It 'was not yet his time' as Jesus said it, and yet he honored his mother in this request. I would say this is an example of freedom in our Christian walk even. What he did was not forbiden for him to do, so he did as his mother asked. If she had asked something he could not do, the answer would have been different. Remember the momment when Mary and Joseph lost track of Jesus and then found him talking with the teachers of the Law? How different is that? And this is the smae Jesus...
A lot to think about can come from this one tiny little thing...

Mary acknowledged her own confidence in her Son and approved of His action as she instructed the servants to follow His instructions. Althought Jesus was still her Son, Hw was now more than her Child, - He was her Lord! She was also called blessed among women in Luke. -Brenda
