    Hi Mel,
    Think about this!
A beautiful song, I Can Only Imagine, by MercyMe.
I really enjoy it.. Need to hear the music also.
    God bless...
    With God's Love, Lois

"I can only imagine what it will be like, when I walk by Your side...
I can only imagine, what my eyes will see, when Your Face is before me!
I can only imagine. I can only imagine.
Surrounded by Your Glory, what will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you, Jesus? Or in awe of You, be still?
Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing 'Hallelujah!'? Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine! I can only imagine!

I can only imagine, when that day comes, when I find myself standing in the Son!
I can only imagine, when all I will do, is forever, forever worship You!
I can only imagine! I can only imagine!

Yeah! I can only imagine!

Yeah! I can only imagine!

I can only imagine! Yeah! I can only imagine!! Only imagine!!!
    I can only imagine.

We don't need to imagine. The Soviet Union tried to work without acknowledging God. They ended up asking churches for help because of the problems with hopelessness, crime and corruption. It doesn't work.

Oh and Mel, remember we tend to notice one insult for every ten blessings. The vast majority of people support you guys. God bless.

Thanks, Guys. This guy really got me steamed.

    Hi Mel,
I always enjoy reading your post, although I may not comment at times. But they all are very interesting. Just like Jon's I enjoy his.
So good to see you both work together, is wonderful......

God bless you Mel and all the other troops.
    With God's Love....

Lois, you bring tears to my eyes. Maybe I am just tired. LOL! (laughing at the denial -- stupid macho mode with crazy testosterone still pumping)

Larry, thanks there, trooper! I felt I was over the top a little, but the venting was cathartic. [sp?]

To anyone and everyone: Should I edit the graphic example of the evils in this post? If it is too much, I will do so with only one request. Either here or PM works fine.

    In Christ,

    Mel

Wow! See, when I posted my first comment, your title was the only thing on the screen. I had no clue where you were going with it!

For the record, I believe we should support our armed forces (and their Commander in Chief) whether or not we agree with where and why they are deployed. They are defending our nation's security, even if the threat doesn't seem obvious to us. It's okay to have an opposing opinion, but we should be courteous and respectful in voicing said opinion.

My nephew just enlisted in the Army with the plan of training to be an MP. I'm praying that his training and tour of duty don't include a trip to the Middle East, but there are no guarantees. Right now, I'm just content that he's being sent to "Fort Lost-in-the-Woods" (Fort Leonard Wood) for basic; at least that's still on U.S. soil.

My youngest brother (my nephew's dad) fought in the first Gulf War, and now it's a distinct possibility that his son could be sent to that region as well. Am I happy about this? No. Will I support him in his decision? Yes. Will I be praying fervently for his safety and salvation? You better believe it!

Mel, ignore those whose mouths get into motion before their brains get into gear. They have no idea what they're bashing; they're just falling victim to the same old anti-military garbage that's been around for millenia. Our borders are already overrun on a regular basis with illegal immigrants whose presence is condoned by politicians with globalist agendas; without our military's protection, our country would cease to exist as a sovereign nation. We know that day will come, but Lord willing, it won't be in our lifetimes.

God bless you, Mel, as you continue to protect our nation with your service.

    Traci,

I'll stand in agreement with you on his safety. War is horrifying and yes 'evil' in what it does. The only thing that can be worse is not taking a stand against a greater 'evil'. To go to far into that is a quagmire. Let us just say that it suffices for me to understand that the ramifications and consequences of what we do reach far beyond those fields of battle and farther than the here and now. I look at Iran, and believe that they are encouraged by our confusion and lack of a cohesive backbone.

1,000 Centrifuges. Confirmed. Heavy Water Production Facility. Confirmed. Their President once confirmed their intentions and then backed off and said, 'Sorry, no we are not" when world opinion swung hard against them. And funny thing is, the world seems to but that and believe them!

Someone in the future may find this passage. Maybe they'll look back and say I was ignorant. Maybe it will be that I could see what everyone should be able to see, that 'evil' is encouraged more by every little thing they can further get away with, and the world becomes desensitized to the trickling stream that is slowly getting more polluted with the darkest things in mankinds collective depravity.

    In Truth,

    Mel
