I am a "Sinner" am I the only "Sinner" at Christians Unite???

Dear Sister,
What do you mean by saying you are a sinner? Some Christians refer to themselves as sinners because, even though they have been re-born by the Spirit into Christ, they still sin, and perhaps haven't gained much victory over sin in their lives.
In a practical sense, all disciples of Jesus are sinners, because in some degree they still sin. But God has called us to victory over sin, which we can have in a progressive way. The Holy Spirit is always digging deep into our hearts and uncovering the residue of sin and self. He convicts us and we confess humbly. He is our constant teacher to instruct us in the way of righteousness and holiness. This is His goal for our lives, even to become more and more like our Saviour, Jesus.
Please take comfort in the fact that He will never leave you, nor forsake you. But, we must always be making our calling and election sure, as Peter tells us in 2Pet. 1:10. We want to assured that we are His, and by allowing Him to perfect our character with our cooperation we can have that assurance continually.
Know that you are greatly beloved by God, dear lady, and that you are one of His children, a saint by His calling, not your own. Remember, "if we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
