Love the picture, love the tune, but the words are so deep & meaningful that I sometimes have a tear in my eye when we sing this hymn.
In Galloway in South West Scotland there are stones standing like this from the 14th. & 15th. Centuries. The names of the people are the same as some who are there today.
Some were sent to America as exiles because of their Religious views. Some were martyred in the River at Wigtown, the water rising as they were tied to stakes. "The Scottish Covenanters."
Brings back memories of the time I pastored there.
