Sorry. I should elaborate. It is not a word you hear in common was really the only thing I meant to imply. The word is not obscure, but because it is not one usually used, a person has to stop and think instead of just letting the verse flow over you. I would have liked to have thought of it as a compliment, but clearly, I messed up in getting that accross. Sorry about any consternation that may have caused. I did not take time to make a good comment, so maybe I should not have commented at all.
Poetry that makes you think is good. So is verse that you can just read and enjoy. You cover both quite well. I know that you wish to proclaim a message in what you say, while I am more about what I am feeling and expression, and will accept that if a message comes through, then there is a bonus.
I think your motivations to write are supperior to mine. That does not mean that I should not write. I have at times thought of writing with a purpose outside of myself, but don't beat on my noggin too hard about it.
Just enjoying your poetry is enough. Getting a thought going because something strikes me as peculiar is a bonus. We are a peculiar people. (another word not often used)
In Christ,
Mel
