    It has slowly been coming to the churches for many years Are you aware thata minister is taxed higher than other self employed ppl. I know a pastor that earns 5400 a year his taxes on that is 3100..so it is not a surprise to me.

    Just quoting something that might be striking to anyone who benefits from what Dr. King Championed:

    This is not the way our Republic is structured. Congress has no authority to amend our United States Constitution on its own accord. If the Freedom of Speech and the Free Exercise of Religion Clauses mean anything, they mean that church leaders and other citizens have the right to address the moral issues of the day and encourage participation of the citizenry in support of or opposition to legislative initiatives. Nancy Pelosi’s proposed legislation would have stopped Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from gathering support for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. In fact, as he addressed the social issues from the pulpit of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA, he might well have had to register as a lobbyist.

    So if you are a woman, or a minority, or could have in any way been discriminated against without laws that stemmed from Dr. Kings crusade that he laid down his life for, this should concern you greatly. Think of this quote from Pelosi:

    "For our daughters and granddaughters, today we have broken the marble ceiling. To our daughters and our granddaughters, the sky is the limit."

    Without Dr. King and his courage to voice out against injustice, where would she be? If they had abridged his Freedom of Speech and Religion, what pray tell would have become of his dream? What would she be telling her granddaughters as she sat on the rocking chair on her porch? How about those 'poor colored folk' she was baffled about and couldn't understand their plight? (You don't think she would have wallowed in the biggotry of America without the Civil Rights Movement to open her eyes? -- I have no such illusion!!!)

    It is thinly veiled as reform. Reform that is skewed to Pelosi's cronies. Thereby a mockery of Justice, veiled in it's Trappings. Yes, corrupt, and hypocrical, and like the Pharisee's, too self righteous to even realize the truth of their own shortcomings!

    I Despise this! I think God Despises this! Am I speaking too frankly? Sorry, but if this bill passes, no one will be able to speak frankly!!! Is that crystal clear enough?

    Let's ask the question, now;

    What Would Jesus Do?

    CLEAN THE TEMPLE OUT!!!

    AMEN AND AMEN!!!

    Mel

    Refs Here and Here

    (Thank you greatly Smokey. I did not know this was happening, and appreciate you bring this to our attaention!!!)
