Mel - if you suddenly feel warm and loved, know that it is God who has answered my prayer!
God bless

Hi Mel, strangely when I was a girl, we had no refrigerator, no t.v, radio only, wood or coal stove for heat, but it was the same for most everyone then. Yet, I have to tell you Mel, sometimes the salt went bad. It became grainy like sand, smelled dirty, and almost all of the salt flavor was gone, and we had to throw it out, as there was no way for it to be restored. Yet I believe the Lord's true salt is from a different incorruptible source. Just a thought.

Interesting. So the salt going bad is not just rhetoric...

Hi Mel, Yeah the salt really could go bad. the terrible thing is that we were dirt poor, as well as the neighbors, so none of us could borrow from another, things were that tight. well, my mother had to use venegar and sugar in hopes of flavoring the food, until my dad's next check. salt was not as cheap as it is now, and when we did have it we had to make it go a long way, and it was used very sparingly.loserola
