    Hi Brenda,
Another great post...Yes, the devil can only do what God's allows.....Job lived an upright
life before God...He said, I know that my redeemer liveth......God knows all things, and
He knew that Job would pass the test.......

God bless you Sister and your family....
    With God's Love,

Dear Brenda... it is good to be back, after having my computer in a shop for almost a week. Thank for this post. I think Job is one of the most amazing and strong men in the Bible. Truly amazing! Just as You said, he was so right before God... though there is none who could ever be completely sinless before God... so, the devil found Job's weak spot and was able to come through his weakness and do havoc. Job had fear in his life (3:25)... also, he feared that may be his kids sinned, so he offered burnt offerings for them - just in case (1:5). Fear always opens the door for the devil. Though, again, none of us can be so blameless that we never sin, giving the devil a foohold. But, we have the blood of Christ that cleanses us of all sin. We sure have a much better covenant than the Old Testament believers did. We have the Holy Spirit too, to lead us and help us. We really are blessed and protected.

    Thank You for Your thoughts.

    Many, many blessings to You,

    Hi Brenda -

Lovely post. God was certainly with Job, and I think job knew it. However, I do think that God had to step back a bit and allow satan to have His way, meaning that to Job, God's prescence "SEEMED" far away. BUT, as a christian, Job knew that His God would not leave Him, and although he could not feel God's prescence, he certainly knew God was watching over Him.

A perfect example for us all.

    Thanks for the wonderful post.

    God bless
