Key thought for me here (among many other worthy ones) is to ask: "Who was the Pharisee praying to?"
Reading the context of any of these is worthy.

The Pharisee was thinking backwards. "I'm not like others". In fact we need to see ourselfs as sinners just "like others". Yes we are forgiven in he eyes of the Lord(If you are truly born again)But I know for two long in my Christian life I was a Pharisee Im okay and I need to grow and become more Christ like.
