He did, didn't he? Amazing. I had not seen it in the light of not realizing the good you did, but in the light only of trying to do the good to even the most insignificant (by worldly standards, mind you) in even the smallest of ways.

Good thought. Scripturally sound. Simple enough to overlook. A blessing to know.

    Thanks,

Great Post Jon....Yes, a kind word or a smile, may make someone stop and think where they are headed. We all need to grasp every opportunity to witness to people about our Precious Lord.

God bless you now and always.....

Great post. love the analogy a lampost or telegraph pole blocking out the light. It does not take much to block God's light!!
He waits patiently for each one of us to turn away from our own ways & make a steadfast turn to him. The great block of shade is removed & the light comes streaming in.
We are to forgive the Enron employee as God forgave us. That is the hard thing for humans caught up in that particular tragedy to understand, not in a abstract way, but a real intention to forgive.
Jesus reminds us that the road is narrow, but it is straight!
    Who said it was easy?
    God's forgiveness is AWESOME

Thanks for taking time to put me in the pic Jon.

I loved the pole analogy - perhaps I might feel the urge to use it one day - if that's ok with you.

    Luke 6:31
Do to others as you would have them do to you.

    Have a wonderful week.

A true story: A pastor went to pick his kids up from Christian school every afternoon and every afternoon there was a gruff looking bearded man sitting in his truck, waiting on his kid. Every afternoon, the pastor would wave and smile at the guy but the guy was unresponsive. Over time, the guy in the truck eventually brought himself to wave back. One afternoon the guy's son came out and questioned his dad about why they don't go to church like all the other kids? His father replied,"what church would we go to"? the son says "how about the church where that guy who always waves to you goes"? The guy takes his son to the church where the pastor is. The pastor greets the man with "welcome, Kenny". The pastor took time to even find out the guy's name. Needless to say, Kenny gave his heart over to God and it all started with a wave.
    Great reminder, Jon!
