One of two things happen if you hide a light under a bushel. Either the bushel burns, or the light goes out.

Well stated, Latifa! I like this one; it's a good reminder for us to keep shining.
A minister I know used to say, "If your light seems small and weak to you, go where it's really dark. Then you'll see how brightly it shines."
Isaiah 60:1-2 says it best, I think: "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you."
It goes on about nations assembling and sons and daughters being carried from afar; this passage was obviously spoken prophetically to the nation of Israel. At the same time, though, I think it has application to the Body of Christ and to individual believers. If we let the light of God's glory shine in, on and through us, people will be drawn to that.
