I hear a harsh and biting voice not just calmly saying this to us, but entreating us with great vehemence. We show favoritism! Boy, do we! We bicker and fight and consider one better than the other. Christ could have grasped his Godhood here on earth, and it would not have been wrong, except that it was not the will of the Father!
Are we doing God's will in this matter?
Pray for our grace to be increased so that we understand this!
