Hi Jon,
Glad you are back and that you had a wonderful
experience, with your time alone with God.
That is what He desires of His Children to
spend time with Him. Just like Father and Son.
A blesssing. Isn't it wonderful when our Lord
answers our prayer. What we had been seeking
for a long time. So Jon, our Lord just let you
know you were under estimating your self, Some try to over estmate themself, which isn't good. As we know pride comes before a fall. God knows all about you, and how you had enjoyed working in the Church. He had a plan
and a purpose for each of us before the
foundation of the world.
Yes, We all need to be humble, where God can
use us for His Glory. I'm so glad to hear that
your days are being filled with peace, after
your Mt. trip.
God's Love, and Time alone with Him is worth
it all.
Have enjoyed your event, thanks for sharing.
God bless you Brother and you family.
With God's Love,
Lois J.

Wow, Jon, what a wonderful revelation... to know and realize that it is all God's purpose.
Humbling of ourselves is painful and we don't always feel we deserve it but sometimes we are just getting too big for our britches.
We have to stop (as you have done at the campsite) and re-evaluate what God wants us to do.
I have a similar problem; I want to take credit for the work of the Holy Spirit in me sometimes.
I need to step back and say "Wait a minute, I could not do this on my own. The only way I even have the drive, determination or the know-how do this, is because He is working through me. Without Him - I am nothing!"
It's not easy stuff but it sounds like you are handling it so well now.
I will continue to pray for you.
God bless you... your sister-in-Christ Mary-Lou

Hey Jon -
I just felt all warm and fuzzy reading this. Sounds like you just reached the top! You climbed the mountain and have now finished this race. An ispiration to me as well for I know that this is how it always ends, it just getting there that sometimes becomes the part we don't like.
Well, until the next "on your mark, get set, go...." enjoy the rest.
I am happy for you for I know you have eventaully found peace, and may it surround you and penetrate deeply into you mind, body and soul.
God bless
