Good post, Mel! Okay, Mel, washing feet I can do (because there's not much call for literally doing that in this house; we all wash our own), but washing DISHES is another story... Oh wait, something tells me that is a not-so-subtle meaning in humbling oneself and "washing" feet or dishes or floors or toilets or any task or ministry HE has called us to do in His Name for His honor and glory. Done that way, no task is menial, is it! I guess I've jabbered on enough!
    God bless!

I will fulfil your sentence, Mel: “I know there are times I think ‘this is something better suited for Grace’”. Tihi.

    THE GIRL IN ME

Alone, possessed, and scared to pain
intrusion by and love in vain
I lost my faith in human kind
myself a strong man, in my mind.

No chance at all a man can cope
with angels sent to ruin hope.
No person there to blame, you see.
In fear I found relief. Tihi!

The girl in me a precious stone,
a diamond, to me, not my own –
    myself ingeniously made
by me and mine, surviving raid.

The girl in me a pearl God given
    growing out from power even,
    even being pruned, you see.
    Incompetent God made. Tihi.

The poem was written by me.

    Matthew 19:30
But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

LOL Anders! You are a card...

Yes, Lee. One of those 'less is more' paradoxes so frequent in the Bible...
