I am certain of this: In telling about the Tax Collector and The Pharisee, Christ was very clear. Heart matters. Humility is the sign of a contrite heart. I know the wrong I have done, often as soon as I do it. I am neither praised for my "good works" nor condemned for my "sins" but judged on my faith alone, which is allowed to grow *only* by the grace of God.
I think that your husband's physical heart condition carries its own meaning if it serves to keep this truth in front of you. We are blessed even when we do not know it. However, I still pray for his condition to be better. I hope the lab results come back "good" as can be expected, better even, if God is willing to make it so. More certainly, I pray for all our spiritual hearts, for I think that is God's Will.
