Yes Jon great framwork for active debate within the camp. The scriptures have at least 3 words meaning "LOVE" all at a different level of expectation! I do not know the background of the young folks, but everyone needs to know about love & what we as people can expect to receive as loved ones, both practically & spiritually.
I have found that some people mix up agape with eros & eros with philia!
Praise God for his all giving Love.
Will use this theme myself thanks for the timely reminder. These are my own observations & are not meant to take away anything from your teachings. May God bless you as you serve him with the heart of a "Doulos"

My brother and I were just disscussing this topic last night and I had to confess that I was 46 before I really understood love. Here is what God showed me: True love requires nothing in return! When you love, you MUST love without expectation. Your love cannot be strained or determined by what people do or don't do. Likewise, your love for God. He doesn't always move the way we think He should, do what we think He should, and He rarely does things when we think He should. People will yell, scream, and get mad at God, sometimes even walk away from Him, because He didn't do what they wanted Him to. Love for God and people is steadfast, come what may. When one is able to grasp and apply this principle, there is much freedom and calm in the love.

Thanks guys. I hope we get this one covered. We are also using love for a theme in the whole church, sermons and Sunday school too. It seems timely as we are healing a little from our pastor change.
