You are right. Most people today do not have an inkling of an idea what some of the words they use in sentences every day really mean. Grace is one of those words... or concepts that very few have any real grasp of much less an understanding of. I heard this statement some years ago.. that grace is God's giving me what I do not deserve and God's mercy is His not giving me what I do deserve.
This is a beginning.. God's grace is His unmerited favor given or offered to each of us. God's grace is the sum total of all that God does to bring about His perfect will in my life. God's grace allows me to have faith in Him as God reaches down to me and encourages and enables me to reach up to Him. I am indeed thankful for His Amazing Grace that saved a wretch like me and allows me to aproach HIs throne of glory again and again.
