One thing I really like about this verse is that although not everyone can be rich, or brilliant, or famous, or good looking,(etc.), anyone can be godly and being godly is much more important than any of that other stuff.

Amen! Bro.Bob, I enjoyed your message, a good reminder, I have quoted that passage many times, with a lot of others down through the years, while going through different circumstance....In our daily walk of life as we work, or what ever we are doing, we need to do, as thou we are doing unto the Lord, keeping our eyes on Jesus, will really make our day, filled with Joy....
Yes, godliness with contentment is great gain, there is nothing that can compare with the contentment that only God can give....Can take away all our possessions, but they can't take away Jesus....Bless His Holy Name...
