I am sorry to say I believe you are right. The majority today would ask for money, looked upon as the ultimate miraculous sign. But no sign will be given the wicked and adulterous generation, except the sign of the prophet Jonah. This sign shows clearly charity – love – is what God wants, not offer. God takes care of the poor in spirit, not the strong, proud and demanding.
