Yes, it reminds me of the same thing and at the same time, the reference to 'endless genealogies' leads me to believe that not everything carries the same importantance. If you get the small points perfect, but miss the big framework of the concept, of what use are those smaller points?
If you disagree with that, its ok. Most people misunderstand that I am saying that anything in the Bible could not be important, or worse, that specifically something very dear to them is not important. It's not what I am trying to say, but it seems to come out sounding that way a lot. I'd suggest looking at any reference to the 'Greatest Commandment' to get a little more of the perspective I am professing...
