I'm intrigued with the lesson in your children's gift to you. We children often try to give gifts to God, our Father and in many ways He is hard to please. Or, at least, we don't often give what He is looking for. The simple things, 17 cents or found in a garage sale, are the perfect gifts because they bets show our knowledge of Him. Big,flashy efforts don't inpress the Father, He has all he needs, but small obedience does.
