In Acts, we see those in the Young Church doing as they should, speaking of Jesus and salvation. When challenged by authority, they said they needed to obey God, not men. I don't think we do that enough. However, I also see people willing to rebel in the "Name of God", but serving nothing but their own agenda of empty ideas. I wonder if that is where you are going?
This very thing splits the Church apart. I do not believe in abortion, but I do not sanction anyone to kill a doctor for performing abortions, even though I believe as a soldier that it is perfectly correct to subdue evil even through the controlled use of such deadly force. I sanction peaceful demonstrations against Planned Parenthood, but have seen first hand such demonstrations go extreme in misplaced zeal and even violent, to the risk of the very unborn they say they are attempting to protect.
We follow our own wisdom in vanity sometimes. In the end, much of our well meant noise is meaningless. We have few commands. We let others make up stuff and we follow it to the detriment of the Church.
I see a lot in what you are speaking of and sharing. I think we have been here before and need to revist. This very site is called "ChristiansUnite" and yet I see many of us willing to sit quietly by and allow evil to reign supreme in our society at large, while seemingly feeling free to not bear with our brothers and sisters in Christ, labeling and judging where we should not.
There are things we should do and things we should not. I am not always right, but I try to keep on the right track. So I fail in this, too.

Hi Mel, thanks for stopping by. You have the gift of discernment always needed in the body, along with all the other gifts given by the Holy Spirit to all the saints. May the saints be galvanized to correctly deal with evil in a godly manner, as you so clearly stated, dear brother.
