Perhaps they realized that if they didnt confess their sins.... the reading could go on all night! (Just joking.)
In seriousness... the order that we do things is not as important as the content of what we do. Whether that be singing or preaching or even teaching... it is the message that must be primary and not the messenger or even the method.
I think sometimes we want to make the message as appealing as we possibly can... as far as music types... and ministry methods.. that we lose sight of the message... and even moer alarming is the tendency to water the message down both is song and from the pulpit to make it more appealing to everyone... leaving out the message of the blood... and God's wrath for more popular messages that people would rather hear... that is the real danger as I see it...

Definately interesting scripture. Wonder what would happen if a church had to dedicate just one day to do exactly as they did.........
