You know, I hae herd this prayer intoned in solemn voices for so very long, and yet I think more than solemnity, God seeks sincerity in the way a child would say this if they knew what they were saying and meant it. I get this image of someone screwing their face up (like I imagine those in fasting sometimes do) and letting everyone know just how solemn and pious they are. But our greatest piety is the belching of a drunkard in the presence of our Lord. So let us pray this in simplicity and earnestness... (and even in the stead of other's, when we can sneak it in, like a child asking for a pony in their prayer's)

P.S. Let me pray like a child with a smile -- at least most of the time, carefree and honest. (not that I have no cares, but like a child knowing their parents take care of all that stuff.)
