    Hi Jon,
When I was searching for a church because I had become a new creation in Christ, that is what I did.
Believe it or not, I went to 4 or 5 and they were fine but then I walked into my present church and I just felt at HOME! I just knew it was where I wanted to be.
I just had a wonderful feeling of belonging.
I will pray that the same will happen to you.
God bless you and God's speed in your journey of discovery!! ML

Hello, I wanted to say thank you for your advice (the comment you left in my blog)! I never thought about how the general atmosphere and "feeling" each individual church has, along with their sermons, style, etc. I figured that I'd go to any Lutheran church, lol, because I found out that I at least knew which specific denomination I belonged to and felt right with. As far as being afraid/nervous, it's not in a terrorized way...it's more of knowing that this is MY decision and choice, and it's a big step, yet the most important. I am afraid of being a disappointment, but when I think about it, the only way I could be the biggest disappointment would be to reject God. What I meant about just jumping in, is just forcing myself to take that first step despite being nervous, because at least it's a good step. I was afraid of choosing the wrong church, etc., but after I read your blog entry, I see that it's more common than I thought. It's more important to find a church and a denomination that I agree with, and that brings me closer to God rather than go to church, any church, just for the sake of going. Thank you so much once again! Take care, and God bless you!

    Thanks you guys!
I have done some research and the list is about 6 now. Despite all the drama, we are confident that God will guide us.

Hey Jon - what was the outcome. Reading this now, I strongly believe you need to feel a sense of belonging because how can you grow if you don't feel part of anything. You need a place where you feel at home and not as an outcast. Let God guide you to the right home. There is nothing wrong with leaving you current church and perhaps it would be healthy for your soul. Let me know how it goes OK!

    God bless
