I have not read Eric's post. But as I see it the son is responsible to her and not to him. The son is responsible to God, The Father, when responsible to him. So when we judge the son we should not judge him by the excuse he is as the son of his father. But by the faith he is as son of his mother we can and shall judge. Will is not to judge. Want is to judge. The man (and also the woman) is both.
