I hope your Memorial Day was nice. In Norway we do not celebrate a memorial day as such. We remember the beginning of WWII, the occupation, April the 9th 1941. And we remember a little less the end of the occupation May the 8th 1945. But neither of those days are holidays. The celebration of the nation in Norway takes place May the 17th, in memory of the constitution from 1814. This is our Independence Day and our Liberty Day. This is also our Memorial Day. And we really love that day. Everyone dresses up, every little child carries a flag, there are parades for all school children, for people leaving high school, and for citizens. School children practise all the year their instrument with May the 17th in mind: This is the day of the school corps. Choirs are singing national hymns and everyone is friendly towards his neighbour. Well. At least they all eat ice cream and smile.

I am flirting with Mister Ray.  I have totally changed the look of my blog. I manipulate with the style sheet by giving the site some new directives. On MySpace one does that all the time, and MySpace has made a box to use to make it easy. But Ray has made it difficult. He has made sure only a limited number of characters are allowed for example in the About Me section. So one have to be creative. I have placed small snippets of codes in the Blog Roll, as much as the number of characters allows. The site has become a puzzle of codes. But it works. And hopefully Ray will not be angry at me.
