Now I really liked this one!
For the last time - please explain in plain and simple english, so I can get over this for once and for all - if you are a few years shy of 30, how old were you when you wrote this poem if it is copywrited in 1979????? I am 32, that would make me 6, meaning you would be 4???? if that?

I've been a christian for some time, but squandered my time and talents 'in a foreign land' I have been in the military (active and reserves) for just a couple of years shy of 30. I have two lovely daughters, and life seems to often be strange to me.
I guess I should add that I am currently 46 or that I was born in 1959, so that the confusion is mitigated. I am older than you are there dearie!!!

Don't know if I forgot to save my last comment, or if you perhaps deleted it. I presume I forgot to save, but what I wanted to say was thanks for the clarity on this, I now understand and see what happens when you don't read properly - you end up making a fool of yourself as I did.
