This is ringing off of what Stuart commented upon on the little story I shared in my Odd Stuff Blog.

For a true leader is not one who says they are a leader, but one who simply guides by example. To seek to be the least is so foreign to our "nature", that we often find ourselves shattered by the mere thought of being ignored, a nobody. It seems that true leadership in the body of Christ only comes out of learning, to the extreme, humility!
Funny, I had a young man say to me the other night that he would really like to be a preacher, nobody has ever said to me that they would really like to be a servant!
Serious thing to contemplate...

How true that is Teri and I'm not sure that most who say they would like to be a preacher are aware just what the amount of servitude inolved in that undertaking is. I think most view the leadership and attention grabbing of the position at first. What a humbling expirience to realize that to be truly Christ like one must serve others, when you were shooting for glory and fame.

I will share A small thing. When I was a young christian, I basically swore an oath to myself before God that I 'would be a tent maker'. Not wise enough to heed Christ's warnings on taking an oath, I was bold enough to make this one. Do you understand what I was saying when I said that?
Feeling a bit Foolish still,
