Yes. This was a great part of John's purpose. And yet, this great man, full of God's spirit, later sent a couple of his disciples to bluntly ask Jesus if he was the one who was coming, or if they should expect another. This was when John ws imprissoned, so I can imagine what he was enduring.
So even this great man had his moments of greatness, and those of human frailty that we all suscumb to from time to time...

Isn't it amazing that John knew who Jesus was! The heart of John was so in tune with the heavenly Father that he knew His Son without being introduced! John's ministry of baptism lasted a few short years but he did so much. Thanks for letting me review this. Let the Son shine in you today! Hugs Mary-Lou
