I love the way the Book of John starts, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning." John 1:1-2
These verses testify that before time and before the creation of the world, the Word existed. He was also a distinct personality but equal and coexisting with God.
