Hi Serola. I agree. We should never worship the day. We should worship our Lord always.
    In Gods Love.

Hi serola......thank you for expanding and expounding! This is a good point about not worshipping the day. When we were younger Sunday was kept very strictly and it is a little sad at times to see Sunday treated like any other day of the week. We had a very strict council in Ballymena a few years ago who tied up the swings in the park so the children could not swing on them. We joked that they might tie up the feet of the ducks to keep them from swiming in the pond! I think my view is no one should be able to dictate to me on how I spend the Sabbath day. I do use it as a day of rest but it is up to other people what they do. God is their judge....not me. God bless

Hi Colin, thanks for stopping by to fellowship and leave your insightful comments. Sundays were also very strict in my neighborhood on sundays too, when we were younger. We had to dress up too. Most importantly is that no one should try to tell us that what we do or do not do with the day makes us more or less holy. Our holiness comes from Christ, and our focus is on giving Him thanks, on any day. sounds like they meant business in your town that everybody was doing Sunday, even the kids.I am glad I was of some help, dear brother, as always you are a blessing to me.

    love
