Just in case you don't make it back over to my blog it was John 1:1 and yes on the Greek. from the sounds of your deductive reasoning you could have probably figured it out
    God bless

This is a parable that Got revealed to me with regards to what ability He gives you. I just want to say that I have not yet completed what I need to do and this is a rather "in-my-face" reminder of how He never lets me forget. Unfortunately mine involves money, so I have handed it over to Him and so I believe that He will open doors in this regard. It is with utter conviction that I say that I KNOW that once I have completed this one task, He will bless me with even more abilities to do greater things. Would like to hear what it means to you.....
    God bless

I'm going into "all the world" to tell the good news about "Jesus". (The Gospel)
With the talent that "God" gave me.

Lee, to me it points out two things:

    1. Some of us may have more talents than others.

    2. The person with two talents, doing what was expected in a way that was in line with the five talent servant, received the same praise verbatim from his master. That tells me that if I am using my talents, and if they are not as great as someone else's, it can still be credited to me as a 'well done'.

Ross, I really don't read Greek, but should be able to find tools to give me a translation. That is how I pulled the one word out. I'll get over to your neck of the woods and check again. In a way, I was being lazy. In another, I was asking someone who had the skill or gift to explain to me what was said...

    God Be with You,

I couldn't agree with you more Mel, other than if you hide your talent, it will be taken away from you. So, even though yuo start with one, being faithful will increase it to 2, 5 etc etc etc
