Now that is really interesting. Luckily for us, Halloween in South Africa is not a huge thing YET, but I have seen it grow over the years. I think that the reason why people celebrate Halloween is because they are unaware of the meaning thereof and I bet it is the non-christians celebrating it. Perhaps a church ad in the local newspapers with a "Did you know?" giving quick flashes of the meaning of halloween might touch someone out there. Perhaps a good evangelising approach. Hit them with the TRUTH! "Parents -protect your children - Halloween is more than just costumes and candy" Play on the parents by using the children.

This was the first year that I had an opportunity to pass out candy, having just bought my first home in Jan., and I did it. But with almost every piece of candy that was given, a tract was included. When asked what the paper was, I told them it was a paper about God. "I give you candy, you read this paper for me?" If only one child reads it, they have the good news.
