Hello Mel,
verse l9,20,21, works of the flesh are manifest.
verse 22,23, are fruits of the Spirit.
verse 24 - And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affection and lust.
By the above verses, the believers can know whether he is walking by the Spirit or being controlled by the flesh......

oh, and they will clearly see that struggle within them, as Paul himself did.
