Amen Bob. Sometimes I get a little uncomfortable reading the old Testament with all this killing and beheading and bloodshed. Does anyone else feel the same? I remember hearing a preacher preach on these things and he called his serie of sermons..THE DARK SIDE OF THE BIBLE.. Was he right in saying this? I am just being honest here. I do get a little uneasy but I would never question God. His will be done.

Hi Bob, It's unfortunate that many people don't realize they are worshiping idols and false Gods even today. There is only one true God. Sometimes we want to make Him over into what WE want Him to be and then it is not Him. Love your insight. Bless you.

Thanks again for the comments. Colin.. I prefer "The Dificult Side of the Bible" as opposed to the dark side...
Just as in free will, there is the potential to make the wrong decisions... so do we have to have judgment and retribution with liberty.
That is what is wrong with a lot of folks ideologies when it comes to freedom today... somehow we think that freedom is something that we just "have" and there is no cost associated with it, both to acquire it and to maintain it.
IN the early Bible days, God rids the Promised Land of the pagan people along with their pagan gods and ways that were contrary to God's will and His way...
Make me wonder what our position ought to be toady with respect to these foreign gods and traditions that are taking such a hold in our world today... and the only one that we hear about that should not be protected or even tolerated is Christianity!
Amazing. Some cleansing might well be the order for the day today!
